Snorkelling Spot

We run our snorkelling tours in the beautiful Avaavaroa Passage.

Connecting the land to the sea through fresh water river run off, Avaavaroa passage is home to an abundance of reef species including turtles, rays, tropical fish and the healthiest coral gardens.

This unique stretch of water is comparable to a rip current at your beach adding an element of risk when exploring the area. Conditions such as tide, swell, wind and rain all play a part in presenting suitable snorkeling conditions for your swim with turtles. The channel is 25 metres deep in the middle and a safe waist depth on the sides, suitable for resting during your snorkel experience.

Our experienced team of lifeguards know this passage like the back of their hands, and will help keep you safe out there in the beautiful Avaavaroa Passage during your snorkelling experience.
