  • The Cook Islands has no lifeguard service or active water safety presence.

In five years prior to the commencement of Snorkel Cook Islands there had been eight known drownings in the Cook Islands with all victims being visitors taking part in unsupervised recreational water activities.

The most abundant eco-systems for snorkeling are located in narrow passages in the reef and lagoon marine reserves where dangerous rip currents can be prevalent.

The problems visitors face when snorkeling in Rarotonga is not knowing:

    • where to find safe and abundant snorkeling conditions

    • how to participate in snorkeling safely with minimal impact on the environment

    • when is it safe to go snorkeling

    • What equipment is needed for the conditions and how to use it

    • Who is a trustworthy provider/operator

  • Offer supervised snorkeling tours using our extensive water safety knowledge to accomodate all guests despite their ability at the healthiest snorkeling location on Rarotonga
